Clearview^® Strep A Exact II cassette uses rapid technology to provide direct detection of Group A Streptococcal antigen from throat swabs to aid in the diagnosis of Group A pharyngitis.

Benefits

The vast majority of cases of pharyngitis are caused by viruses which do not require antibiotics. In many of these cases antibiotics are prescribed empirically which increases the incidence of antibiotic resistant bacteria. Clearview^® Strep A Exact II cassette provides rapid accurate diagnosis of Strep A pharyngitis enabling prompt appropriate antibiotic therapy. This reduces the course of the illness, lessens the severity of symptoms and also reduces the chances of further spread or complications.
