Kathy Cartelli
Executive Vice President, Operations, Health Improvement

Ms. Cartelli offers nearly 30 years of experience in healthcare, primarily in operations, program development and implementation. She came to Alere in August 2005 as Vice President of Southern California Operations. In January 2008, she was promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations, a position she held until her recent elevation to Executive Vice President.

Prior to joining Alere, she was responsible for the development of health and disease management programs for PacifiCare Health Systems. While there, Cartelli was named to PacifiCare’s President’s Circle, which recognizes employees who exemplify the PacifiCare values. Ms. Cartelli has held positions in public health, developing nutrition programs, providing nutrition counseling services and marketing healthcare products and services. Ms. Cartelli earned a Master of Science degree in public health nutrition from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics from the University of California at Davis. Early in her career, she received the “Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year” award from the American Dietetic Association.
