Pete Desai
Vice President, Wellness, Health Improvement

Mr. Desai has more than 10 years of health services industry experience with an extensive background in developing and implementing innovative healthcare programs and services.  In his current role, Mr. Desai is responsible for the overall performance of the Wellness Solutions product line, including strategy, innovation, development, operations and overall delivery.  Previously, Mr. Desai served as Director of Strategy & Business Development beginning in June 2008. Prior to this role, he held the position of Director of Strategic Projects for Matria Healthcare (acquired by Inverness Medical Innovations, Inc. in May 2008) beginning in June 2007.

Previously, Mr. Desai served in various roles in Accenture’s Health & Life Science’s practice from 1999 to 2007, where he developed a broad healthcare background including experience working with health insurance payers, providers and behavioral health vendors.  While at Accenture, Mr. Desai’s responsibilities ranged from defining corporate strategy and growth plans for clients to managing large-scale multi-million dollar implementation projects, all of which helped him build a core foundation in managing complex initiatives.

Mr. Desai is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, where he earned a bachelor-of-science degree in biomedical engineering.  He lives in Atlanta with his wife and two children.
