Ian Rushton
Senior Vice President, Development, Technology Solutions

Mr. Rushton has served as a Senior Vice President for Technology Solutions since 2004 when he joined Matria Healthcare (now Alere). He is responsible for providing quality assurance for architecture and architecture guidance to project teams and business units. Mr. Rushton is currently leading the development of a next generation platform known as Apollo. Additionally, Mr. Rushton manages the introduction of new technologies and concepts to the organization and works with the architecture and development teams to produce demonstrable implementations of proposed technologies. Also as part of his responsibilities, he manages the definition, implementation and evolution of the enterprise architecture involving its component architectures (i.e., application, database, information) and their proper integration.

Previous roles include Head of Architecture for Vodafone and Vice President of Architecture for weather.com. Prior to those roles, he was a consultant with IBM on large-scale website architectures and was involved with IBM’s technology delivery in the Olympics.

Ian earned a bachelor-of-science degree in industrial engineering and minored in computer science at Auburn University.
