Darren M. Schulte, MD, MPP
Executive Vice President, Collaborative Care, Health Improvement

Dr. Schulte leads the Collaborative Care Solutions™ unit within the Health Improvement Division. In his current position, Dr. Schulte is responsible for the overall strategy, performance and growth of Alere’s Collaborative Care product suite, and he provides leadership and direction over product innovation, development, operations, delivery, sales and marketing. Dr. Schulte previously held the role of senior vice president of clinical innovation beginning in 2009 when he joined the company.

Prior to joining Alere, Dr. Schulte served as director of clinical affairs and analytics at Resolution Health, Inc., a WellPoint subsidiary, from 2004 to 2009. While at Resolution Health, Dr. Schulte led a multi-disciplinary team to design, implement and maintain proprietary computer algorithms that analyze longitudinal patient data sets to support products and services aimed at improving health care quality, safety and coordination, enhancing communication between patients and their providers, and measuring physician performance.

Dr. Schulte earned a BS degree from the University of California, Berkeley, a master’s degree in public policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard, and a medical degree from Stanford. He trained in internal medicine at the University of California, San Francisco.
